I graduated from Northeastern University more than 23 years ago with a Master’s degree in nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. For the past 11 years I have advocated for patients with cancer and blood disorders. More recently, I have focused on providing Cancer Genetic Education and Testing for our patients and the community at large. At MCA, we take a team approach in providing our patients with comprehensive, supportive care. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time hiking, biking and boating with Steve.

When did you know you wanted to be in the medical field? Why oncology care? When I was in eighth grade, I decided I wanted to be a nurse practitioner. I still do not know how that thought came to me. I was not looking to work in oncology; at the time, I was working in pulmonology, and the oncology physicians approached me with a position. The rest is history.
